This is the first time (for me and the plant) that this has bloomed. I think its delightful. I've not posted pictures here before so I hope it works.

That's a nice looking flower, but it's mislabeled. What you have appears to be a Brassavola (probably nodosa) hybrid. If you Google Epicattleya(Guaricyclia) Kyoguchi, you will find it has a much smaller lip.

It is delightful, but I agree, it looks more like a Brassavola cross. Here is an Epc. Kyoguchi from Clouds: http://www.cloudsorchids.com/images/6648_0.jpg

Hmmm. The label was from the vendor and the flower matches the picture he had, but.. I'll look and see if I can get a better angle. Perhaps my picture has it a bit angles and distorted? It is a printed label and there were a lot of them. Interesting. Whatever it is, I like it. I'll google away and see what I can find and try a different pic , since its still blooming away. Son has one too but I'm not sure his is open yet. I'll check tomorrow when I go to check his plants since e is away for business. Thanks!

Here is a screen shot from OrchidWiz. This is one of the roundest lipped ones in the photos available in Orchidwiz. They all have the clear rim around the edge of the lip and stripes rather than spots on the lip which are present on both parents. Hope that helps. Yours is very nice whatever it is.

Don't know if this helps or not, but here's my Epc Kyoguchi that's been blooming for the past couple of weeks. Nice fragrance too, not overpowering, kind of like baby powder.
Best,
Tony

The flower is beautiful, it reminds me of a Richard Mueller cross Blc Sunset Glory.
