What ever the name is, it's a beautiful orchid with very unusual colors. I love it.

Different angle, different light, different camera, plant in different place. Does it make a difference or is it still mislabeled?

That one looks like Epc. Kyoguchi but I don't even see how the first shot can be the same plant! Lip looks totally different , this time a plain rim around the lip and stripes and the other was fully spotted all over! Even the dorsal petal is a completely different shape!!!

Maybe I Mislabeled the picture. Its possible! I took the one I Put up today last week. The other was taken a month ago. I could have screwed up the label on the plant. At this point, At least I know the one in this picture is maybe right. Its on my kitchen window and the color is fairly close, though washed out some with the flash. .... I see what you mean though. Question becomes, where is the other plant.... tiis is what happens when you (me) have too many little ones and they're scattered everywhere. Checked son's at his house today but its no longer in bloom. Maybe I took a picture of his and mislabeked it. We have a tendancy to swap plant sitting or placement, based on light. Right now I"m getting more filtered light and he more bright so I'll be taking his phal's and he'll be taking those of mine that need the bright light. Sometimes they get switched and sometimes I take pictures in one place, and oh who knows. I think this one is the Epc Kyoguchi along with a slight view of the unknown Tolumnia and a Vanda Neof. Thanks for clearing it up. Now I just have to find the other plant and get it labeled right!

It sounds like you have chids coming and going! I think the first photo must be another plant. But at least you know this last photo is your Kyoguchi. I guess round up all the cattleya types that you have and see what you can figure out! I've been chasing a couple of Phals around like that because they are only in spike and look similar at this point!

I know that feeling. I have one in bloom that someone gave me- no tag, another that just bloomed- yellow- no tag so it was a surprise. Now I moved one out to the porch for some cool weather to try to get it to spike, as I have no idea which it is. It has two tags in it. I need to do better at repotting or not knocking tags out and putting them back in the wrong place, though others took care of orchids while I was at the hospital with hubby so who knows what's where at this point. But we know at least one! lol. Thanks

What a nice set of blooms. I haven't noticed any fragrance with mine- now that we have the right one identified, but that said, its mixed in with others- in the kitchen and probably is overpowered by everything else. I was just about ready to move them to the sun porch (east side) for the summer, when winter came back. Now everything- flats of seedlings et al, are back inside- oh goodie. The perennial seedlings are still out and now well watered. But orchids are in, and annuals are back in for this week anyway. I was hoping the cool nights on the sun porch- glassed and screened- would make one stubborn Phal spike, but its a bit too cool and no sun! WEATHER! bah hug. but we needed the rain so I am not complaining.
