Empty Spath on a BLC Female
Default Empty Spath on a BLC
Hi,
I'va had this BLC Reydi Okas 'Orchis' from Orchis in Taiwan for 5 years. I bought it in bloom and it kept on blooming once a year until this year. I got 2 pseudobulbs with empty spaths in the past 6 months. It never happened before, so I'm wondering what am I doing wrong??

I agree with Merlyn. I doubt if you've done anything wrong. The existance of a sheath does not mean that buds will necessarily form. But don't do anything to the sheaths. The plant may decide to bloom later than normal.
