The new shoot is from the backbulb area. I'm including a couple pictures, albeit not so good...just to give you an idea. Also, I have been away, so it didn't get watered for approx. 11 days...that's why the pseudo's are a bit wrinkled...I did not fertilize lately as I heard that if a plant is under a lot of stress you should not fertilize...is this true under these circumstances?

Helen, I have a Pot. that sent up two fat leads from the front and two smaller ones from the back bulb. I think Rocco may be right on in his assessment.

I'll defer to Ray on the fertilizer question.
