that is huge. thats half a foot. i never really like catleyas due to there plant and root structure but that bloom is beautifu. great job

Crispin Rosales has some of the largest dark purple flowers available. Another thing I like about mine is the way the psuedobulbs tend to grow straight up and not out to the sides. That makes the flowers easier to display. Your's is beautiful. Good growing.

Good to know about the growth habit. It's always nice to be able to have a large cattleya that doesn't take up so much room.
