Confused Catt. percivaliana
Supposed to bloom around Christmas, but I think a bout of bad roots has thrown the plant off. I got one flower in January, but now has 2 growths with 3 buds each. The first bud is just starting to open. So I guess its Christmas in June.

Great shot of the buds, that big one looks really cool. Be sure to show us shots when it opens

Sue, Congrats!
Just think of the potential. Fresh pollen for crossing with summer bloomers.

So gorgeous. Hard to believe this species is a stinker, with flowers like those.

I don't know about that whole 'Christmas Orchid' label that you always see. Mine has never bloomed for Christmas. This is my C. Percivaliana which bloomed early last November. The flowers were all gone by Christmas. Never-the-less I always enjoy this orchid.
