When will this Chocolate Drop bloom?

I have a Chocolate Drop 'Volcano Queen' that I got around 2 years ago from Lowes as a tiny plant.....back then I thought the picture on the tag was ACTUALLY the plant it would be. Anyway, I'm glad I got it because I do like the choc. drops a lot. It looks really healthy, has good roots, has about 7 growths, but isn't blooming. Right now it's about 6 inches tall. Can anyone tell me how long i'll have to wait before it'll bloom?

I'd say it could flower on the next new growth... maybe another year or so. Be patient... from the looks of your plant it is certainly getting there!

thanks elliot. I've been waiting for it to bloom but it was my first orchid so I had no idea. I'm still pretty amazed that I managed to keep it alive throughout the past few years--I had absolutely no idea what to do with it!

Yeah, I'm waiting for mine to bloom as well. The last growth had a nice fat PB but no bloom yet.

I got a couple of closeout baggie better gro ones for a dollar and 3 dollars. even if they were beat up they seem vigorous at rooting and recovering compared to other small species i have.
was in a 2.5 " pot. how large do they have to be too bloom?
i like only a few complex hybrids and this is one of them. I am rooting for a Bc Makai

I just got a beauty from Bardavo Orchids. (Bic. Maiki 'Mayuni' ACC/AOS).Was to be spiked, but in bloom when I opened the box.
