Laelia purpurata
This is a seedling showing the face for the first time. Just regular, the segments are normal for the species, but that lip is really big for that flower!

Very nice, Mauro. You mention that this is the first flowering from seedling - how many years has it ben since seedling to flowering for this plant?
Many thanks,
Karmen

is there a hint of purple or lavender in the petals or are they pure white. You have some "to die for" purple Catt. alliance plants.

Thanks, Cirillonb!
Yes, the sepals and petals have very subtle lavender a bit difficult to capture with digital cameras!

how I wish I could obtain some of the Catt. alliance plants you show with this faint lavender petals and septals. I can't find them anywhere that I have looked in the states.
I even checked with Brazilian vendors at shows to no avail.
Thanks for answering
