My Brassavola cucullata in bloom !!!
everyone !!! I just wanted to share with you guys the second bloom of my cucullata. I know it's not a multi bloomed specimen but time will allow me to get there some time. I'm also planning to increase the light a bit more so it will go with the vandas this winter. For now I love the sweet and soft fragrance and the gorgeous flower

Nice job, Rolando. I love this species. Mine is just a tiny seedling. Eventually, we'll both get there.

Thank you both !!!
Laura I've got a soft spot for Brassavolas. I've got nodosa, glauca, cucullata and now Rhyncolaelia dygbiana and a variety of their hybrids. Still have some more brassavolas to add to my collection.

I had a minor set back when my bird decided to bite 5 or 6 leaves off soon after I got it last year but it grows really really fast once established. I just think that I need to up the fertilizer a bit on my mounts.

I just love walking into the house in the evening and smelling the fragrance of Brassavola. Yours is beautiful.

Very nice! how old is the plant? how large was it when it first bloomed?
I love the flower... But it feels that all the Florida bloomers are cheating! perfect humidity and weather out of the door! unfair advantage over the residents of at least other 46 continental states
