Default Blc. Glo's Green

This giant Cattleya has 18" p-bulbs, 7"-8" flowers, the flower sheath looked like a butcher knife, and the beautiful scent is starting to get stronger! It smells like some kind of candy, but I can't put my finger on it. The flowers have very faint purple around the tip of the lip and ends of the petals, and it has slight purple dotting inside the throat. I bought this out of bloom, so it was a very nice surprise to see these flowers.

Beautiful flower. Any orchid that smells like candy is my kind of plant.

It's beautiful Jasen! Judging by the lip it has a very healthy dose of digbyana in it.

Yeah, the color rings pretty true to digbyana, also. I couldn't find it in the registry, but judging by the size of the plant and flower....the other parent is most likely pretty big! This one is way bigger than my digbyana.
