Smbc Jewel Osment
This is the 2nd time I've had this one bloom.
The first time it bloomed, I was so excited after waiting so long, that I posted a picture here ...and then Ross asked me where the two missing petals were! I hadn't even noticed!
This time there were three buds, two bloomed today...and they are actually complete flowers
I'll post better pictures tomorrow, it's really gray and yucky here today

Oh Cool!
Mine has 2 spikes started and the first one is getting close to buds...
I am so excited to see the flowers for myself!

Oh that's beautiful! It looks kind of like a smoky pink.
It's gray and yucky on this end of the country too... drizzle drizzle, pour pour, windy windy. *sigh* but we desperately need the rain.

We barely got any rain here today and we need it very badly. I don't remember the last good rainfall we had

Well, thanks to Orchidwiz, I found out that this one is now known as:
Laeliocattleya Jewell Osment
(Laelia undulata x Cattleya lueddemanniana)
The three buds/blooms are all backed up to each other making it rather difficult to get a good shot of just one bloom, the third bud should be fully open later today

That is really pretty Sue! I love how ruffled the petals and lip are. I love the color too! Great growing on that one. And, I love the pool in the background!

Super colour..I'd call it dusky pink?...Is it scented?
I wouldn't mind seeing more pics of this..as I'm falling in love with the colour

It's gorgeous Sue!! I'm going to have to try to dig up the post of last blooming, with the missing petals! That must look weird!
Btw, you say it's an Lc now, but what did the Smbc in your first post stand for? I never heard of it before!

Smbc stood for Schombocattleya
I looked for the old thread but I can't find it
I'll dig up an old picture to show you
