Default Catts In The GH

I had two more catts open today. They aren't opened all the way but I couldn't help snap their pics with the sun shine today.

I purchased this one from a big box store two years ago while visiting family in Chicago. The tag was hard to read then and I should have made a new one but didn't and now it's almost impossible to read. I've sent the grower, Arnold J. Klehm located outside Chicago, several emails with pics but never have had a response.... so I'll just enjoy this catt... a portion of the name is still readable but even with a partial I' can't get any search results...

While I'm not 100% certain, this guy is my avatar. This year the flowers aren't as deeply saturated with color....

Snow, you're not the only guy who misses her...while no one ever says much about Dorothy, I feel certain there are a ton of people that miss her humor, charm and knowledge. Dorothy, wherever you are, I trust all is well with you....

Cookie, when I saw the flowers yesterday, that was my only thought...virus. So I'm not sure what I'm going to do....Well, I mean, I know what I should do but that isn't what I want to do....hopefully, I'll be smart and do the right thing.....

David, the partial name is on the pic...and I'm not even sure it is Blc....it might be Lc...just don't know....but thanks for any help.

Biker- if you didnt damage the buds with water or spray of some sort, just get it tested to be safe!
I've heard good things about Critter Creek Laboratory in CA and its only $5-6 per test, it wouldnt hurt.
I know that cross is an ooooooold one, and unfortunately most of the old beauties got virus
Good luck with your plant and let me know if you go through with testing and such

I miss her, too. She is coming back, isn't she? I certainly hope so!

I was goign to say the same thing. Some of these old girls are hard, if not impossible to replace. I'd test it before doing away with it.

I've used the Agdia ImmunoStrips. They are so very easy to use and the cost is about the same as sending one in to be tested.

Agdia: ImmunoStrip for Cymbidium mosaic virus and Odontoglossum ringspot virus

I hope she's clean! They're really pretty flowers.
