I received an orchid seedling as a gift that is a cross between Brassavola nodosa and Encyclia tampensis. The cross is listed in Orchidwiz as " Eyv Gordon Vickers ". It hasn't won any awards, but I would sure like to see what the flower/s look like. Orchidwiz has no photo and I can't find one on the Internet. If someone has a photo of this hybrid I would appreciate it if you would post it to this thread or provide the appropriate Internet URL. Thanks
I saw a photo of this recently, I just can't remember exactly where. Try ebay. It looked like a B. nodosa form with less of a pronounced heart shaped lip. The lip was more front heavy and had few but dark splashes of magenta. Nice gift!
Encyvola (Brassoepidendrum) Gordon Vickers = Encyclia tampensis x Brassavola nodosa ... ok ..
I wasn't sure what Eyv was ..
Couldn't find a photo .. I would love to see this one
Once again the forum members came through. Thanks everybody for your responses and thanks Royal for the link. Please check my other posting for the cross " Jungle Chocolate " E. guatamalensis X E. phoenicea. I can't a photo of that either. Regards
