Cattleya walkeriana (type)
First blooming; this single flower started to open yesterday, I guess the sides of the lip will improve in a few days, as the flower matures; but I simply could not resist and have photographed it!

Hi Steve!
The little baggies are filled with "bokashi", a traditional Japanese organic fertilizer; as I water/spray, small amounts of "bokashi" feed the plant. The Japanese know what they are doing!

Frederico that it s beautiful flower and a smart move about the fertilizer. That way they get a weakly dose everytime they get watered. Great idea!!! Enjoy your flower
