Default Blc. Hausermann’s Holiday ‘Christmas’? Possibly mislabeled?

I recently acquired what is labeled as (and sold as) Blc. Hausermann’s Holiday ’Christmas’. The blooms are opening now, but have what I would describe as a splash petal, not a deep lavender as I was expecting. It looks nothing like the picture on Hausermann’s website. Is anyone growing these, and can shed some light on this? Do these open light then darken up? Was this potentially mislabeled?

Maybe send Hausermann's an email asking about it. Since it's a mericlone, I would not expect a lot of variation from the "standard". Mislabeling is always a possibility. They are a very responsive vendor. If a mislabeling, probably not the only one and they would know about it.

I’ll send an email now.

Hausermann’s got right back to me, and they said it doesn’t match what I ordered, and are offering a replacement.

They are! I was thrilled with the quality of the plants they sent in my order. It’s quite apparent that they are very interested in producing top quality plants - and at what I would describe as reasonable prices.

Thank you! We can see the whole Reno/Sparks valley from our sun room. I’m surprised we don’t have snow yet.

Here’s how it ended up opening. Anyone care to venture a guess as to what this is? Currently it’s solidly a NO ID, but pretty enough to warrant the space in my collection. Definitely gives a C. trianaei vibe to me, but the more experienced growers may have a different opinion.

The replacement from Hausermann’s arrived yesterday (after a shipping fiasco…don’t send FedEx packages for pickup at Walgreens!). The replacement is also a massive plant, and has three sheaths in development…hopefully it is correctly labeled!

You could send a photo to Hausermann's... it wasn't what the label said but it came from their nursery. (And likely there ae others blooming) Someone there may very likely recognize it. Sometimes things end up on the wrong shelf, but it's not a "random plant".

Umm, I think it may be correctly identified...

Anyone else?

It's a little less saturated than the photo on their website but that could easily be a temperature/culture thing...
