Default 3 x C. intermedia

All photos taken today.

C. intermedia, var. Orlata 'Rio' AM/AOS
This plant belongs to my tenant, but it provides a good measure of intermedia quality. When awarded the NS was 4.48", in this blooming it is 4.13".

C. intermedia, var. Orlata 'Fair Orchids' (4N)
This is a first bloom seedling from a Miranda sib cross. The NS is a hair over 4.5", and the substance is very heavy. However, it lacks the 'frilly' lip of the 'Rio' clone.

C. intermedia, var. (or fma?) Suave 'Fair Orchids' (4N)
Also from a Miranda sib cross. This flower is somewhat smaller at around 3.75". but again with the heavy 4N substance. This is the 3rd time this plant is blooming.

Beautiful flowers all of them! Such a nice variation in colours and shapes. I'll take one of each - including the tenant's one hehehe

They all look good, but I think that the third one (the suave variety), for me, has the most appeal. Are any of them fragrant? I had a Cattleya intermedia many years ago that had a nice fragrance. But that was the only plant of this species that I've ever come across that had a scent.

I do not recall any fragrance while taking the photos, so if they have any, it would be light. Will check again when I go to the greenhouse next.

The only difference is, that my tenant does not want his watered quite as much in winter months (he wants weekly + a splash midweek, I water mine fully twice a week).

Other than that, same greenhouse, same fertilizer, etc.

Yes, we both use clay pots, with bark/charcoal/perlite (2:1:1).
