Very nice form. I especially like the upright sepal. I must get one!

Lovely - The sepals on my plant wouldn’t stand up this year! After some searching, I decided that the clonal name is probably M. Ito, as in Mr. Ito.

I'm sure this (about to be explained) might have been done by others before - and I've had some success with it ----- works well for situations where we can get convenient access to say 1 or 2 flowers.

My idea was to use something like this :

..... to gently prop up the sepal (or even petals) - holding it in position for 1 or 2 days.

Prop up just means to use the little clip fingers to keep the sepal in a raised position. No clipping or clamping is to be done. Only use the structure (or any other structure) as a way to hold up the sepal instead needing somebody to do this with their own fingers.

This is done during the early stages when the flower is still relatively young. Then I make sure the roots are getting enough water. If everything goes to plan, then the sepal might stay in place when the flower sets. Natural? No. But - workable? Yes - it may be workable.
