Default Stanhopea shuttleworthii

Strongly scented species from Colombia. It would have been more impressive if I hadn't knocked the plant over last month and crushed two of the four immature buds. But there are still three new spikes forming, so it should put on a pretty nice show over the next four to six weeks.

The scent is a combination of vanilla with a little lemon; it's very strong in the early morning, but still quite detectable through the rest of the day.

Gorgeous blooms. I have a Ronsard that began spiking a few days ago and I can hardly wait till she blooms. Thank you for sharing.
