Hi Tricho -
Please, do whatever you can! I have these photos in my flikr album, if it would load faster
ID help needed - JEM orchid - a photoset on Flickr
Interesting, somebody said they had a virtually identical flower from JEM labeled as Cls. russelliana x Ctsm. Breckenridge Onyx 'Janet' - well, I also have this plant (or at least, that's what the tag says) here
Clo (Cls. russelliana x Ctsm. Breckenridge Onyx 'Janet' (Large) on Flickr - Photo Sharing!
and they are quite different!
Then, in the gardenweb site, there is this:
clo.russ x ctsm.brekenridge onyx first blooming seedling - Orchids Forum - GardenWeb
which looks like my plant with the same name somewhat, but not at all like the pale greenish one.
Though I realize that seedlings of the same crosses are almost infinitely variable, still...perhaps I will need to somehow establish/fund a DNA lab.
But, Tricho, if you can run down any theories, please run them by me. I am sure this is not a ctsm. cross. Though one parent is probably a catasetum, I am convinced the other is clowesia.
Life is full of mysteries!
Cheers - Nancy
