It should have a strong and nice scent since bouth the parents are scented.
I have a co-worker with the last name Tranmæl . She is from Melhus in Trønderlag. Do you know if your grandparents came from the same area ?

I'll get back to you on that, my sis knows & I just emailed her.
BTW, just because both parents are scented doesn't mean the progeny will be ! It DOES mean the progeny has a GREAT CHANCE of being fragrant !

very nice plant. However, what you have here is not Cycnodes Jumbo Puff 'HC Sky' I would say a pure Cyc. warscewiczii, but then there is something "wrong" on the labellum... not sure whether a back-cross of Cycnodes Jumbo Puff x Cyc. warscewiczii (or selfing Cycnodes Jumpo Puff, which would gice indeed Cycnodes Jumbo Puff) would produce this flowers..
the flowers of Cycnodes Jumbo Puff 'HC Sky' looks like this (typical Cycnodes Jumbo Puff flowers) http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-5293616..._2187_53819700

Thank you kavanaru !
I was told in 2009 when I bought 2 of them that they might be mislabeled. Then an intelligent source, who will remain anonymous, told me after I showed him the pix that if they were seedlings they could both be the same plant and same name. They didn't bloom last season and now is actually the first time blooming for me as I bought them in spike. The fatty one looks just like your pix, so what's your opinion of the skinny warczewitzii looking one ? That's the one on this thread.
BTW, RHS spells it warczewitzii.
