Default Galeandra baueri

I decided to put this under the "Miscellaneous & Other Genera" category of the forum. The internet suggests that Galeandra are related to Cymbidiums, but I don't see that based on the morphology of the plant.

I bought this Galeandra baueri in February during my orchid society's show. This is its first blooming for me this year.

I hope that I can rebloom it next year. Any cultural tips are welcome!

Hi Fren, a very nice Galeandra

recent phylogenetic works, confirmed what most people had discussed since long ago, and put Galeandra actually in teh Catasetinae alliance...

Absolutely gorgeous!!!! Just wow! I'll move this to the Catasetum alliance. Interestingly enough my reference (The Plant-Book, A portable dictionary of plants, their classification and uses. By DJ Mabberley places both Cymbidium and Catasetum under the Cymbidieae alliance.
