Largest Catasetum pseudobulb?
I was at the New York Orchid Show two years back and saw a plant with HUGE pseudobulbs which was in leaf when flowering, pink flowers I believe.
The bulbs were 6-7"+ tall, and 4-5" wide.
I believe it was a Catasetum.
Do any species create bulbs that large? If so, which?
Thank you.
Ken

Dear Ken,
Some get that large. Certainly that is the size range of Catasetum discolor, a terrestrial species from northern South America.
Hope that helps, Eric

I have several in excess of 6"-8" in height, but 4"-5" wide? Circumference, maybe...
