Question about Fdk. After Dark growth

Hi, guys. I have another more than likely stupid question. I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I thought I would come to the people who would really know.

I was looking at the plant today and its growth which I still wasn't sure if it was a flower stalk or a new p-bulb growing when I saw what looks to be a root growing from the bottom. I've added some pictures of the plant and of what looks like a root nubbin to me. Flower stalks don't grow roots do they? I have a new p-bulb growing, right?
