cycnoches (various)
Managed to bloom a few cycnoches this fall/winter. All have been keepers!
Cyc. Richard Brandon (warscewiczii ‘SVO Jumbo Swan’ AM/AOS x Jean E. Monnier ‘Dark Swan’) SVO 10565 [pics 1-2] A red RB!
Cyc. cooperi ('SVO III FCC/AOS x 'Memoria Pat Worthington' AM/AOS) SVO 9592 [pics 3-4] and different cultivar [pics 5-6] amazing color
Cyc. cooperi (‘Emerald Green’ HCC/AOS x ‘Memoria Pat Worthington’ AM/AOS) SVO 10068 [pic 7]. smooth caramel color and great form
Cyc. Mass Confusion (chlorochilon ‘Giant Swan’ x warscewiczii) [pic 8-9] I think this was Hilo. Nice form with this one.

What a great bloom season for your cycnoches! How long have you had them?

just since the summer/fall. I fell into the catasetinae rabbit hole this year. most are from this summer's SVO listings, the darker cooperi were from last year's offering. hoping to get much bigger bulbs next year!

Nice! My pentadactylon from August did well, need to get a cooperi. Yours are great, I like the different shades.

Very nice! I'd love to see these in the sunlight again, if you are so inclined! The color of these really pops in the sun.

hah sorry, they have all finished blooming (although I did save pollen on a couple). I'll take sunlight pics of the next set to bloom. all my mature catamodes and fdk are spiking for me now, including some black ones which I find impossible to photograph.

I have also fallen into Catasetums (90% Cycnoches, to be honest) this year! These are really lovely. I have two of these - I have a dark cooperi sibling and a Richard Brandon (yet unbloomed) along with a few others. Excited to see what my blooms next year will being.
And yes, I'm still kicking myself that I didn't purchase a pentadactylon when they were available earlier this year. What a weird, awesome species!!
