Catasetum matogrossense is very uncommon in the United States. This is a first bloom seedling from an import I got a few years ago. I’m surprised by the small the flowers and plant. I’ve never seen this one before, so can’t compare to anything other than photos from the internet.

These are males! This species has hooded male flowers as well. You can see the pollen triggers in some of the photos.
