I cultivate 100+ pcs. of Stanhopea plants, and I mention it to add some weight (smile) to my 'diagnosis' here below ...

The morphology of the flower, and the facts that there is almost no color there and no fragrance, let me suppose that the photograph shows a flower on an under-nourished plant of Stanhopea wardii ...

I am sorry, I guess that the owner of the plant will not like to hear this ... but let me remind the reader(s) that Stanhopea plants, in cultivation, need MUCH FERTILIZER.

And if MUCH fertilizer is not forthcoming, flowers may be less than perfect.
