Bulbophyllum arfakianum
Bulbophyllum arfakianum
This is labeled Bulbophyllum arfakianum (green type).
I think this flower maybe similar to Bulb. fraudulentum and Bulb. fritillariflorum
I don't know the difference. In a few days I will take a peek inside of this flower. Now that I see this flower in person, I'm becoming more intrigued by it.

Bulbophyllum arfakianum - peekaboo
First thing visible is the wiggly lip. Petals are really tiny - visible in the last photo but blurry. This is the best I can do with my phone camera.
Does anyone know what iphone app I can use to draw pointed arrow?

Awesome!
Does it smell? 3" bloom and same for leaf span?
(Wondering what I can get rid of to make space for this).

Should also ask what conditions it is grown in.

love this one, patterns and coloring are amazing example of group... how are you growing it?
Anon, it's not a large plant but it scrambles big time, I've wanted one and it's related cousins (section hyalosema) forever but alas just don't have space or a gh for that matter... smallest ones in group are anteniferrum(spl?)types (ok so have that one)... actually the group taxonomy is a bit of mess...
peterlin, did you know there's a well known grower/hybridizer with your name here in SoCal?

I have an antenniferum and can't have sprawlers, either.

I haven't detected scent from this flower yet. This pictured photo is growing on a cork plaque. It looks beautiful this way. The ones I'm selling are in plastic pot with moss.
