New Bulbophyllums -tingabarinum and bicolor
Recently on OB someone posted a photo Bulb. tingabarinum. I had to have one! Found it on Ebay at Secret Garden Rare Plants. Received Friday, 9/30. Extremely happy with quality of plants and shipping. Looks like maybe a flower spike coming.

Yes, very nice!! I once had both as well, but I failed at keeping them alive. I'm not very good at Bulbos. Actually, I'm not sure if I still have B. tingabarinum or not. I know I have some small Bulbos that haven't flowered for me.

Some do great for me--others not so much. I find their flowers fascinating so keep looking for more. My trees are getting full though

Did you see my Elizabeth Ann x frosti? It is a few posts back. I agree about the smell--I don't often put my nose into them!

Nice looking plants congrats on your new arrivals. My tingabarinum is on it's second bloom and is going to have another one. I have thought of getting a frosti but now not so sure, I'm rethinking the 8 plus years.

No-Pro-mwa...don't go by my poor results with frostii. I'm always checking back on IOSPE on various facts and noticed AGAIN it says these are cool growers. Can't seem to place bulbo and cool in the same breath so now AGAIN I just need to make some changes. Others will do things which works for them and have super results...I'm just not one of them but I won't give up on this one.

A cool grower aay? Well if it doesn't need a bunch of light it may like it in my new cool grower set up down stairs in the garage. I do think my Masdies are getting happy, well I hope they are.

I have an excellent Bulbophyllum book from Bill Thoms, of A-doribil fame.
He writes that the single most important thing is flooding them with huge amounts of water at least once per day, twice when it's warm. He writes they grow many times better in soggy wet sphagnum baskets than they do on mounts, and he gave up on mounts long ago because he can't keep them wet enough. He writes they grow so fast with heavy watering and fertilizing, they need to be repotted before the sphagnum breaks down, so go heavy on the watering.
You can buy the book on his Web site, but it's hidden pretty well, for some reason. It's on Page 2 if you select All Products.
