I though I'd give an update since it's been a while.
First, for some reason, I was thinking that the lasiochillum was low-light... so that changed my plans for the little guy dramatically once I found out that was completely not the case. It had a very short stay in the terrarium, but now lives on top of my fish tank and gets a couple of hours of 'direct sun' per day. It's not really direct, however, since it comes through my skylight which I have discovered is tinted. The tinted light coming through and shining on the lasiochillum maxes out at about 2000 fc, according to my light meter.
As for moisture retention... the mount is now horizontal, as estación recommended. It also sits in an old store-bought cheesecake plastic lid. I keep water in the lid nearly 24-7, which, in turn, keeps my bulbo's feet wet nearly all the time while still allowing plenty of aeration. I do let it completely dry out about once every other week to control a very fine white mold that seems to also like this set-up. While none of this is pretty, I'm not sure I care. My bulbo seems happy, producing two new growths since this change and lots more roots. Only one of the pseudobulbs has fattened back up, but it may take the others a long time to recover since they seemed to have been poorly taken care well before I even had them and well into two months after I got them.

The goose-neck lamps don't allow me to completely seal the top of the terrarium with plexiglass and thus I struggle a bit with humidity in the tank. Current residents are:
Masdevallia 'Wild Child',
Masdevallia minuta,
Aerangis fastuosa,
Angraecum didieri,
Haraellea retrocalla and
Restrepia contorta 'purple.' I try to keep it around intermediate temps to keep everyone happy-ish. I know I have some warm and cool growers in here, but most will tolerate intermediate temps. Light needs do vary, but I manage that with proximity to the lights and the use of my handy dandy light meter.
I made the mistake (not really!) of going to the first New England Orchid Festival in Northampton, MA last weekend... I may have had a few impulse buys based on some familiarity... the
Restrepia,
Haraella and
M. minuta mostly. Actually all the orchids I bought were impulse based... I walked away with seven new green children after all!
