This thing is finally looking like it's time to bloom.
Last year it bloomed six spikes on November 11 and then one more spike a month later.
Today, Dec 9, a year later, it has ten spikes starting to bloom. The other two turned brown a couple weeks ago. Weird that they would develop so far only to abort.
Not quite sure why it is blooming a month later than last year in spite of a longer summer and arguably better care (more water, sun, and fertilizer).
