I grew my B. Echinolabilum for 3 years as a large seedling before it bloomed with 3 spikes in late November. The spikes bloomed sequentially till now (7 months) totalling about 8-10 flowers per spike so far. Each flower lasts about a week, sometimes less sometimes more (up to 10 days)... It's just a little over 10 inches per flower and smells like a shrimp farm. I can tolerate it but my guests rather not have to cringe away in shame and disgust

... I love the plant!! It charms the strong hearted!
It grows 3 feet from my west window and gets conditions like a phal... It loves having wet feet and I fertilize with fish emulsion every other week.
