Absolutely, according to what I've read, a spike will bloom sequentially for up to 8-10 flowers!

Beautiful!! Good growing!

I bought mine in bloom last August from windy hill garden--picture was taken when on it's 3rd bloom in late August. It's also ten inches from tip to tip but the flower only last one day after it's in full bloom (when the top sepal is fully erected)... is that normal?

I switched it over to semi-hydroponic with hydroton right after it's 3rd bloom and it's currently developing the 10th bloom...didn't skip a beat and all the roots in the pic are new roots! It's a shameless waterhog, it depletes the reservoir fast!!

On the second bloom now and it is much straighter and almost perfect, another bloom is forming. I took this to Brevard County Orchid Society meeting and won a blue ribbon on the show and tell table.

A second spike is about six inches tall, this is turning into a great bulb. Very faint aroma

Wouldn't you put up with a little bit of stink to look at this beauty? Good growing. I have 2 and waiting for a bloom, hopefully not both at the same time!

I grew my B. Echinolabilum for 3 years as a large seedling before it bloomed with 3 spikes in late November. The spikes bloomed sequentially till now (7 months) totalling about 8-10 flowers per spike so far. Each flower lasts about a week, sometimes less sometimes more (up to 10 days)... It's just a little over 10 inches per flower and smells like a shrimp farm. I can tolerate it but my guests rather not have to cringe away in shame and disgust ... I love the plant!! It charms the strong hearted!

It grows 3 feet from my west window and gets conditions like a phal... It loves having wet feet and I fertilize with fish emulsion every other week.
