Yep, I'd say that's the same as mine. Thanks for the confirmation, Doc. Your photos are beautiful. I really do like the plant and the blooms a lot -- it's just not what I paid for.

Nice post-script to the strory: the seller (Kawamoto) offered me a full refund including shipping! Terrific customer service.

You are very fortunate! Kawamoto's is excellent. I have purchased from them directly in the past.

Hey Stephen, I've gone back and looked more closely at your flower and compared it to mine. The lip is not the same; yours is clear with larger opening while mine has small dots and is tightly affixed to the lip. This could just be clonal variation or something....

Thanks, Doc. I will probably never know for sure which exact hybrid it is, but what I do know for sure is that it's not the longissimum that I paid for. But my gratitude goes to Kawamoto for making sure things turned out right.

I had considered that one when I was doing some research, but the lip is not quite the same. Mine is pink on the margins, yellow stripe down the center.

boytjie, I think your plant look more like
Bulb.fascination (fascinator x longissimum). You can see both of parents in your flowers.

Looks like you might be right, based on the pics I can find! Thanks for the heads-up.
