I love the plant but I'm with Sue on this one....
That was supposed to be the one you and I bought from Louis a few weeks ago. I can tell you that if your plant is the same as mine, it's not the echinolabium. Is the one you got from him blooming yet? Mine has and I have NO IDEA what it is....

I know Dana...we didn't buy echinolabium from Louis... Post or email me a photo of your blooms and I may be able to tell what it is...and no, mine hasn't bloomed yet  |

I guess when you live on a farm you get used to odd smelling things, so it really doesn't bother me too much. I even had my husband take a big ole whiff, he did make a rather nasty face, but it hasn't stopped him from coming in and checking on it!
I was telling Sue the other day that I was in the orchid room and had my back to this treasure and kept thinking "Holy Cow, some one near us must have spread some natural fertlizer (as they do quite ofter around here) and then I realized that the echinolabium was tapping on my shoulder  |
