Not a root or a flower spike, what is it?
Default Not a root or a flower spike, what is it?
A few weeks ago, this...thing started coming out of my phal, I assumed it was a flower spike since this particular phal currently has 3 spikes so I thought "a fourth spike, awesome!"

Fast forward to now and it's stopped growing and it neither a root (has not grown and the shape is too large and rounded) nor a spike (not mitten shaped). Any thoughts on what it could be?
(sorry, didn't realize the pics are not in the correct orientation!)
