The roots look great. I would not repot. Usually people repot in bark every 2-3 years. The bark looks good to me now.
I can't see the plant, so I can't comment on how it looks.
I agree - never cut or damage roots if you can avoid it. With a plant like this, you can gently remove old bark pieces one at a time, then put more back in. Leave alone the ones that won't come out.
You can also just drop this basket into a larger one and fill in around it with more bark.
Edit: People mist mostly because they don't know what they're doing. Orchid leaves don't take up water. Roots do. There is a huge amount of wrong information on everything, not just orchids, on YouTube.
