This is the lone survivor of about 20 buds on two spikes that blasted one after another. After eliminating other possible causes, Fred from SVO suggested humidity fluctuation as the likeliest culprit.


But! I do get to see at least one flower from this cross for the first time and it won't be long now.

Yeah, that's awful. The bloom looks like it will be really green--I love green!

I do think that as plants get older they have more resilience to less-than-perfect conditions. Hopefully, next year will be better .
