Default Broken roots
I recently got two orchids and noticed they each had few broken roots that are turning slightly brown. What should I do?

Treat them as if they weren't broken and water as you normally would for that orchid.

It looks like a Phalaenopsis. They like even water and warmth all year. However, it is easy to overwater them and rot the roots. Best to let them dry completely between waterings.

There are some excellent threads on Phalaenopsis care in the Beginner forum. From the left menu, select Forums, then Beginners Forum. The sticky threads are near the top. Look at "The Phal Abuse Stops Here" and "Using Wooden Cooking Skewers."
