I wouldn't buy from that person unless I were paying low prices for unidentified plants.
You're in Toronto... I believe there is an orchid society there. I know members here live in Toronto. They can show you a lot.

Check out this thread. It probably needs to be updated but a place to start.

What's the fragrance?
To me, your plant looks like Phal. Kuntrarti Rarashati, a hybrid of P. equestris and P. venosa. According to Phalaenopsis: a Monograph, P. venosa is supposed to smell like crushed centipedes but the one time I kept one alive long enough to flower it reminded me of beef jerky.

Is that a European centipede or an African centipede? Is it fully laden with a coconut?

The author didn't say and I haven't crushed any centipedes myself.

To me, it has a sweet floral scent, very light though. I can only detect it the afternoon. I have never smelled a crushed centipede, so I can't comment on that, but it doesn't smell anything like beef jerky either.
I agree with what you think it looks like... Bookmarked that website. Thank you so much.

I've never smelled a P. Kuntrarti Rarashati but a quick search suggests that odor can vary, if present. I'd go ahead and update the label.

Just for comparison, here is my Phal. Kuntrarti Rarashati 'Copperstate'. They do look pretty similar, and I'm sure there can be variations with seedlings. Mine always has rounded, glossy leaves, and a very faint fragrance which is certainly not of centipedes or jerky. Light floral, I'd say.

Aside from my flowers being slightly darker in colour, I'd say your orchid looks almost identical to mine. I think we have a name for my orchid... thank you.... to all of you.
And... I've learned my lesson. Bought 2 new plants today (Anacheilium Cochleata and Maxillaria Tenuifolia). Pulled out my phone and researched the plant right in front of the seller. Flowers, plant and tags all matched up. Asked a boat load of questions, examined the plants carefully and then, and only then, purchased them.
