Translucent spots on my Phalaenopsis
Default Translucent spots on my Phalaenopsis

Hello!

I noticed some weird, translucent spots on the leaves of my Phalaenopsis today. Mainly the two bottom leaves are affected but some crown leaves have these spots as well. What is this? The Phal faces south on a windowsill (only during winter) and gets a bath every 8-9 days. I couldn't detect any mites or other bugs. I looked at the roots, some were a bit yellowish and looked not very healthy but there were a lot of healthy roots. Are the roots the problem? I put the Phal in the kitchen to isolate it from the other orchids, one can never know...

Could water have dropped on those leaves? It looks as though water spots had been hit by sun, leaving those spots. My educated guess is not insects but, physical damage. Also, that seems like a very sparse watering regime.

I'm with Dolly I don't think it's serious. I get spots on some of mine from time to time.
