You can also paint your clay pots with craft paint and stencils, or "whitewash" them. I've done some pretty pots that way and you can now buy craft paint in metallic, too. For instance verdigris with copper accents. And, no, it never injured my plants.

It was a joke. You said it was a 99 cent store.

I can't find a link to a great cartoon - a checker, in a store with a huge banner saying EVERTYTHING'S 99 CENTS, on the intercom saying "Price check register 4."
