I too am an indoor "window sill" grower with the similar temp and humidity issues.
Last year at a society meeting we got Angels Tears and Maui Lollipop. They just had small bark and regular plastic pots at the time for potting at the meeting. I've had them both in my house and they've been languishing.
About two months ago I moved them into clay orchid pots (with the slits on the side) with a mixture or river rock, sphag, and bark. I keep them in a small saucer with water in it pretty much all the time. I also moved them onto a shelf with two led grow lights from Home Depot.
The Maui Lollipop has two blooms and Angel tears looks a lot happier.
I also had a Pleurothalis restrepiodies that I gave the same treatment and it is looking good too with a lot of root growth.
I was inspired by RJSquirrel's method, but I was concerned that the roots wouldn't get enough air. Also I think the evaporation from the claypots helps to keep them cool(er) -- better growing through physics!
