Westland compost alternative - and alternative use?

Just a quick update - I saw some Westland stuff today and from feeling through the bag it does seem very "composty". The blurb said it contains "organic matter" - which I assume to be peat - bark chips and "wood fibre".

The Levingtons seems to be mostly bark with a bit of fines, which may just be bark dust. Here's a picture to compare with what you have.
