Virus???
Default Virus???

So the top leaves on my Vanda are dying/dead, but I don't know why. I've had this vanda for about 6 months. I water every 2-3 days. I fertilize with Miracle-Gro Orchid mist 1x week. It is on my patio and gets indirect sun in the morning and midday. The flowers are still growing and it has a new leaf growing too. It is in a square pot with a little coconut husk medium to keep some humidity. Any ideas???

Does it have any open flowers now? Seeing them could also help. I highly doubt it's viral.

You don't say where you live, so we have no idea what temperatures have been like.

Vandas in minimal medium need watering every day. This could account entirely for your problem.

Vandas are very unhappy when temperatures drop below 60 F / 15.5C for any length of time. Yellow/red Vandas are more cold-sensitive than blue ones.

I live in Southwest Florida. It has been cold a few days and nights, but if it gets below 60, I always bring them inside for the night, or day if necessary. I'll increase to daily watering. I'm just so afraid of over-watering orchids. This vanda is also a red/burgundy vanda, so I'll redouble my awareness to the temperatures too. Thanks!

Very nice! Wet the roots in the morning. They will likely be dry by evening. That will be great for them.

I wonder if water got up in the crown area near the top and with the cooler temps those top leaves got damage from the cold and wet. That is what it looks like to me from the pictures. The buds still look good.
