I repotted. The dendrobium was not standing secured in the old mix, and was not looking very good. Plant and roots looked fine. The smaller growth doesn't look as good as the bigger, but looks okay.
Potted in a mix of bark, perlite and moss. Moss on top (not on the small growth, dont want it to rot).
The yellow one. Well, decided to go s/h mixed with vase culture. Kinda. I keep a little water in the bottom, and mist every now and then. And yeah, I am aware it doesnt have holes😜
Oh, and inspired by Bil, I made a more gentle way to hold the cane, instead of the clips. 😎👍🏻
And yeah- if you keep them in leca- dont let them stand in fertilizer… I forgot to empty one s/h, and left it in fertilizer instead of water. I couldnt understand why it started to get odd color… *facepalm* (it does grow though, both new leaves, roots and started a spike). Luckily it was a pretty weak solution, so think it might survive. I am flushing it now. (Yeah, that is easier if you have holes in the pot)
S/h with leca is kinda brilliant. I think I will convert more of my phalaenopsis to that. I recommend pots with holes in, actually- I recommend reading the website Ray has.

That soft wire is very useful. My advice is, never throw away any clip, stick, tie. You never know when they might come in useful for something else
Just a suggestion, but if you stick to small pots, what would be useful would be something that stopped them from falling over so easily.
It's not a problem I have, but if I did I'd look at maybe a ring on legs that the pot just droopped into, and which left the pot an inch off the surface so you could slide a saucer under to catch drips.

I agree on the falling over part- it seems to be secure now, it was in a smaller pot, and the media was not very good.
I might try terracotta pot next time- that is heavier. But I cant look at the roots, so have to wait until next year, when I know how the plant is and what it needs.
And I never throw away stuff, I leave it in the garage- my hubby shaking his head when I make a mess😜😎 Clips, sticks, pots, whatever. Never know when it can be useful again👌🏻
Like the softwire- I made a net with it for a cymbidium I adopted from my moms house. Only moss on top. Its hanging in my living room.
