I just let them dry for several minutes or oevrnight (depending on the roots and plant) and then I continue with the re-potting proc... so far, I have had no probs with this..

I was told they should say as bare roots, not to pot them? (link below)

oops, sorry... I had not seen your other thread... I thought you were speaking about plants you had received bare-root (e.g. saving shipping costs)

I saw now, you were speaking about bare root vandas... in this case, do not pot them... they normally do not like it!

for my vandaceous (only two, and not that long with me!!) I indeed applied cinnamon on them, and they did not seem to get bothered with that... they just started producing lateral roots soon..

Ross - dipping the wound is a good idea, dusting the entire root system is not, as that can stop all root growth.
