I like all of your ideas. Jcec, Bringing a bucket over to the plant! Why didn't I think of that?!?

Silken, you're right there has to be a spot and I like the thought of using the same spot all the time so if I damage something it's just one tiny spot. Also I didn't try a tiny skewer, I was using a moisture probe which is a bit bigger as traditionally I have used chopsticks which are much thicker than a skewer so the chopsticks would never work! I'll try the skewer.

Bil, is there any risk with overpotting?
Luiz, there is new growth coming up now, does that count or do you mean after its done flowering?
