I consoled myself by buying another C. aclandiae (a coerulea), a cyncnoches and another Lepanthes. :|

There is a rainbow bridge for orchids too! The double rainbow bridge maybe?
As I think of it though, I have learned quite a bit through those who have died. I think of the young black albatross fledgelings who basically "get it" after they see a few dozen of their own eaten by tiger sharks in the south pacific because they couldent figure out how to take off on water. You bet your life they all died until that one smart albatross fledgling was afraid enough to figure it out. and then, after that, they all did it and lived---- god, do I get off track ADHD and all that. What I mean, is that you are that albatross and you have to figure it out. In the meantime, a lot of orchids must die.

I honestly wasn't planning to get more but I came home and felt terrible about the mossiae and purpurata. However, it is for the best. I could not have given them the light that they needed this winter (unless I got rid of some furniture and set up another set of shelves and lights but I think the family might have minded).

It is odd, yes, but they do. You would think they would be a little understanding about such things....
