I had to laugh. That is the way it goes, isn't it? You get rid of a bunch of plants and then you end up buying more. I just weeded out a bunch of orchids to take to the OS and then I ended up doing an order from J&L. Of course they are miniature orchids and shouldn't take up room but....

I do have a very tiny seedling LC Cariad's Mini Quinee 'Angel Kiss' that just never really thrives. If there is one orchid that might make go in the trash this is the one. I really don't want to ruin my no orchid kill record either. Recently thinking about trashing it, but now it's got a tiny nub/new lead that you almost need a magnifying glass to see. It's like every step forward is followed by a step back. Grrrr!

Came home with 3 more from Piping Rock Orchids. Two Paphs and one Stenosarcos. He also threw in 3 air plants, one each for the three of us.

When I got it, it looked like it had just been deflasked IMO. I got it off Ebay.

I have had little seedlings like that. Just give them a little time and when they get adjusted and strong enough, they will grow. It does take some years before they will get that first bloom but, when they do, it is a great moment.

Sounds like you are having fun, gngrhill.

I am indeed. Piping Rock is only about an hour away; this was my first time there. Marlow's, on the other hand is a 4 hour drive. We did that one last year and it cost a mint between gas and tolls.
