Default phaelenopsis

hello

I have a question, my beautiful phaelenopsis began flowering in July last year after a friend had given it to me as a present. Since then it has not stopped flowering , now its August, so it has been in flower for 13 months now and no sign of stopping! new buds and branches continue to appear on the same spike!
My worry is that it may be a drain on the plant and I dont want it to die out. what should I do? the two leaves that it has look washed out!

P.S about six months ago I had applied a little hormone to a node hoping to produce a keiki.

You can cut the spike to make it go to rest.
I do that some times when spike gets too tall.
