When I went to Denver to visit my friend we went to Fantasy Orchids one day to have a look around. That's when I got my nodosa and my Blue Hawaii. They take care of peoples personal orchids there so they let us go and look at them. I was able to see allot of orchids in bloom that I never had before. It was fun. I saw a C. luteola on a mount in full bloom and it was gorgeous.

I asked the gal if they had any and she told me that they didn't. But while looking around I found a very sick dieing one that they gave to me. When I got home I pulled it out of the pot and it came apart into 2 plants. I wrapped it in spagh and am spraying it every day as I did my Wilsonara. It is starting new growths and one has a root.

I know it will be a long go but it is one of my wish list orchids.

Yep, that is going to pull through! They are though as old boots. I overwatered my luteola several times, once so badly that the complete new pseudobulb rotted away. Just when i was given up on it a new shoot appeared and it even flowered! I'm a bit more carefull with the watering tho! Good luck!

They look like they'll survive. If they were blooming sized and mature before it might be a year or two before they bloom. My catts/hybrids that I rescued from my parents house with no roots had one grow season of small psb's and a bunch of roots. The next was normal sized psb's and then spikes after that! Good luck and give it the seaweed!

Yes I soaked it just the other day in seaweed with inocucor in it. It does feel good to be able to save some of them.

I wonder sometimes. I am doing better as I have killed several. That's how I found this sight, I decided I either had to get better or they had to go

Great news! It will probably be a while before you have blooms, but what satisfaction that will be! Good, good job!!!!!
